If you happen to be on Facebook join our new Alta Moda Photography group. If you don’t happen to be on Facebook, why not? I signed Simon up for an account this week after he repeatedly put it off. If he doesn’t upload some photos to his profile soon I’m going to scan and upload his bus pass picture from high school! (insert evil laugh here)

Okay, so the picture has nothing to do with our new Facebook group. It’s a bridal portrait of Iris from back in October. We had a great time shooting at her friend’s amazing house! This is one of my favorite pictures from 2008 that never made the blog. I’m going to be sneeking them in from time to time.

Little Miss Ruby turned one on January 24. I can’t beleive its been a year already! We had a little party with most of Ruby’s grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. I managed to take a few detail shots before everyone arrived but once the party got started I was too busy playing Mom and host to pick up the camera. Luckily Simon remembered and took some photos of the celebration. It’s almost impossible to play host, parent and photographer at a party. Maybe one day I’ll hire someone to photograph my kids parties or trade out with another photographer. I’d love to photograph a kids party where I could focus entirely on the photography!

I made the cupcakes and was very proud of the frosting.
