Kimberly

Today I had the opportunity to shoot Kimberly’s bridal portrait. Her sisters Kristine and Kathryn, both Alta Moda brides, came along. It was a really fun shoot, although is was very chilly (Simon said I’m not allowed to use the words mind numbingly cold and windy… oh wait… doh!). I’m really blessed that I’ve been able to work with all three sisters. They are really a great family. I’m trying to get them all to come back out in their wedding dresses for a group shoot! Anyway, I’ve barely finished downloading the cards, but I thought I’d stick a couple up for a quick preview. Trying to get a jump start on my perpetual New Year’s resolution to blog more.

~Lauren & Michael~

Lauren and Michael’s wedding was a very classy event. The whole thing had a great vintage elegance feel that I loved! The venue, The Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas, was the perfect setting for the event. One of my favorite things was the pie room stocked with pies from The Pantry in Lauren’s (and mine) hometown of McKinney. Simon and I had a great time at this wedding. I’ve also included a few of Lauren’s bridal portraits (also shot in McKinney) because we just had so much fun I had to share! Enjoy!

~Farah & Farhan~

We recently went to Cancun with Farah and Farhan for their wonderful wedding! Kim and the girls from Timeless Elegance Weddings were responsible for the planning and the beautiful flowers. The wedding was held at Fiesta Americana Condesa and we really enjoyed our time there.

Simon went out with the guys to get some golfing pictures.

The first night we had the mehndi.

Then I was told that it was time for the egging ceremony. I’ve never been party to an egging ceremony before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I should have gotten a hint when Farhan stopped to buy goggles on the way there.

Turns out that was a good idea.

Then it was time for a wardrobe change and back to the party for dinner, dancing and fun.

The next day was the wedding ceremony and reception. This might be my favorite picture. These are all Farah’s shoes for the various events.

I’d like everyone to note how much Farhan’s bobblehead looks like him!

~New Project~

Here’s a sneak preview at a new project I’ve been working on. This is the result of an evening out in downtown Prosper with a few friends and their V8s.
